Gastón Caba is an illustrator, author, pattern designer, and teacher. He currently lives and works in Spain. His designs and characters are internationally recognized for his cheerful and colorful style and he has worked for brands such as Adidas, Benetton, Diesel, Coca-Cola, Orange, and Sony Playstation, among others.

In 2005 he created an ambitious project called Ping Pong Remix, in which he invited more than 70 artists from around the world to reinterpret his work.

In 2010 he started with his project We Love Patterns, a series of group and individual illustration courses in companies and colleges.

Since 2015 he has collaborated in the children's magazines Anorak and Dot with his adorable character Churro, the round bunny, making a comic strip with no text aimed at preschool kids.

In 2022, Harper Collins edited Churro's first full graphic novel, Churro and the Magician.

About Monsterism

This design is about everything that is evil, with a special look into B-movie characters like the Mummy, zombies, the Yeti, and Jason from Friday the 13th series, but also unexpected evil things like germs, rain, or fast food. There are also several written sounds like screams or explosions, as they usually appear in comic books.
